In this lecture given on Sri Jayadeva Goswami's appearance day, Swami comments on the importance of poetry in Gaudiya Vaisnavism and the place of Jayadeva Goswami's poetry in the tradition. He tells some stories of Jayadeva Goswami's life, underscoring his unique relationship with his wife, Padmavati, and elaborating on householder life and the instructions different acaryas have give to householders. Swami then discusses the fame of Jayadeva Goswami's Gita Govinda and gives an insightful description of his "Dasavatara Stotra." He ends with an intense narration of how Sri Jayadeva realized the zenith of Gita-Govinda.
