In this inspirational lecture on the beginnings of the sankirtana movement and the importance of sadhu-sanga, Swami describes the life and teachings of Sri Jiva Goswami. Swami discusses Sri Jiva's role as tattva acarya, how he authored such works as the Sat Sandarbhas and Gopala-campu, and how he acted as the siksa guru for all Gaudiya Vaisnavas. Swami also explains the necessity of understanding tattva to obtain bhava and why Sri Jiva sometimes stressed Krsna's pastimes of svakiya (wedded love) over parakiya (unwedded love), and how in a hidden way Sri Jiva actually stresses parakiya.
